Complaints — DRAFT

⚠ Draft — not legally reviewed. A formal complaint procedure, its statutory response deadlines, and any out-of-court dispute resolution body a jurisdiction requires (for an EU consumer, an ADR entity and the EU ODR platform) have not been decided. This page describes only what the product can do today. [[PLACEHOLDER]] marks a decision still pending.

1. How to raise a complaint

Write to [[LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL]]. Describe the problem, the account e-mail address it concerns, and — if it is about a payment — the approximate date and the amount. You do not need a specific form.

2. What happens next

Your complaint is acknowledged and investigated. [[PLACEHOLDER — the maximum time to a first substantive reply, and the maximum time to resolution, are legal/operator decisions; EU consumer law sets outer limits that must be adopted here before launch]].

3. Billing complaints

If a card payment or a BLIK payment was taken and you believe it was wrong — a wrong amount, a charge after you cancelled, a duplicate — say so in the complaint. A verified billing error is corrected; the payment ledger records every payment event, so a charge can be traced. [[PLACEHOLDER — the refund mechanism and its timing depend on the consumer-rights withdrawal question; see that page]].

4. If you are not satisfied

[[PLACEHOLDER — the competent out-of-court dispute resolution body and the link to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform, where EU law requires them for a consumer, are named here once the operating entity and its jurisdiction are fixed]]. Your statutory rights before a court are unaffected by this procedure.

5. Not investment advice, and not a broker

A complaint about a research result is handled as a product-quality matter, not a financial-loss claim: SearchBot is a research tool, never a broker or a financial adviser, and it does not place or execute an order on anyone's behalf.

See also docs/legal_commercial_launch_checklist.md in the SearchBot repository for the full list of legal decisions still open.
